L'Oreal Ever Riche Perfect Elixir Masque Spray

L'Oreal Ever Riche Perfect Elixir Masque Spray £6.99
www.boots.com

It's safe to say I'm quite liking the new L'Oreal offerings that have been released (did you see my post praising up the Micellar Solution here). Another product which has made its way into my stash is the L'Oreal EverRiche Perfect Elixir Masque Spray which aims to 'instantly replenish very dry hair leaving it with a soft flowing feel and healthy look'.

The spray masque should be applied onto damp hair after shampooing and conditioning (after shampooing if hair is fine) and then rinsed out. Typical me, on my first use I applied after washing my hair and before blow drying (without rinsing) due to not reading the directions properly. From my first use however I found this product to be effective, my hair was left noticeably softer and more manageable without leaving any greasy residue. I have fine oily hair, but dry ends due to regular highlights and bleach so I've been applying the spray after conditioning avoiding the roots.

The product itself is so easy to use and takes a few seconds to spray onto the hair whilst in the shower, great if you're a bit lazy and can't be arsed with applying a thick hair masque and waiting for it to have an affect. The masque spray also has a gorgeous sweet scent. I have noticed after use that my hair is much easier to brush and detangle and once dry feels softer than normal. I'm very happy with the product, I think I'll have to purchase more from the L'Oreal Ever Riche range, have you tried any of their new goodies?

Whilst I'm on the topic of hair, can anyone recommend any decent products for oily hair? Which will help to prevent my roots getting so greasy?

Foxy Locks Remy Human Hair Extensions Sunkissed Brown #8

Fed up with my fine flyaway hair I decided to buy some hair extensions to help make my hair look that little bit thicker. In the past, when my hair was dark, I bought clip in extensions from cheap shops where I had to sew the clips on myself, but I had never purchased any online as I felt I would be taking a risk with the colour match. I did some research online and decided to take the plunge and buy some Foxy Locks extensions based on peoples reviews and after watching several of Imogen's (creator of FoxyLocks) youtube videos here. I ordered the 20" regular clip in Remy human hair extensions in Sunkissed Brown #8.

I used the online color match form, where I uploaded a photo of my hair in order for my colour to be matched. You can also send a sample of your hair to the company if you prefer. When the company got back to me (within 24hours) I was suprised with the colour they matched me with as Sunkissed brown looked quite dark on the website. I decided to trust their opinion and bought the colour they recommended for £58 and next day delivery £5.99.

I am very happy with the extensions, they are a great match for my hair. I'm so glad I bought the colour recommended as I was really worried they'd look too dark. They are 100% human hair so they can be dyed, curled, straightened, washed, blow dried etc, which is great. Foxy Locks recommends you use heat protectant spray when styling and washing with a nourishing shampoo and conditioner once every 3 weeks. I've had some good fun the last few days testing out different styles with them in. There is 125g of hair which is really thick and feels like it's good quality hair, they give me so much confidence when I put them in! I've worn them both curly and straight....I only bought them last Monday and I've worn them every days since. See me posing with them in below.

Not the best photos, but you get the idea. Do any of you wear extensions? I was thinking of getting some bonded but i'm scared they will ruin my hair, what do you think?

Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Backcomb In A Bottle

A few years ago when I was a brunette and addicted to clip-in hair extensions, my hair could never be 'too' big. I would backcomb my hair to no end using a small comb, not only was I damaging my hair but the result did not look as great as I thought - think messy and fake looking. Nowadays I still love volume but not the frizzy look that backcombing tends to give. My hair is naturally quite fine so I do need in some help in gaining a little oomph!

Backcomb In A Bottle certainly does what it says on the tin, providing 'instant miracle volume and sexy texture'. I use this product after i've curled my hair with a conical wand to give that extra bounce and volume.

The product comes in an aerosol bottle which you spray into your hair like you would any hairspray. I tend to spray onto my hair from the middle to the ends - i'm careful about piling too much product onto my roots (to prevent greasy hair). I then use my hands to scrunch the ends of my hair to let the product work its magic. I dont use BCIAB on a daily basis but I find it an essential when I'm going out and decide to curl my hair. I've nearly come to the end of this bottle now and will 100% repurchase - i've found nothing like it for creating texture and volume.

Despite the volumising effects this product gives there are a couple of cons; 1 - The smell is quite overpowering, it constantly makes me cough after applying to my hair. It's quite a chemical smell (I can't describe smells?!) I'm just not a fan. However I can live with this because the smell does not linger on the hair after use. And 2 - The product can cause the hair to look and feel quite crispy and clump parts of the hair together if too much is used - A reason why I don't use on my hair when I wear it straight, it just doesn't work so well.

For me the pros outway the cons, Back Comb In a Bottle has become an essential product in my haircare collection and now I wouldn't be without it. If you want big, voluminous hair without the damaging effects of backcombing then this product is for you, you can pick it up from Boots / Superdrug for about a fiver.

Do you have any other recommendations for products which will create volume on my naturally fine flat hair?

Bumble and Bumble Texture Hair (Un)dressing Creme

I used my nectar points to buy this bad boy off Amazon. I am a fan of all the bumble and bumble products I have used in the past, most notably the surf spray and thickening conditioner. This product comes in a 150ml tube where you twist the lid to squeeze some out. I only need a 5p size amount each time I use the product, any more than that will make my hair feel greasy and weighed down.Saying this when you've worked out how much to use on your hair, the results are fabulous. I apply the creme onto my ends of my hair when damp, I then blowdry and style as normal. I have very limp, flat, fine hair and am forever looking for products which will give volume and body. This styling creme gives me that extra oomph when i've blowdried my hair, it no longer lies flat on my head. I would say that this product does give that messy look, but I like that so I love the product & now I couldn't imagine styling my hair without it.

PROS: Gives body and texture to hair, a little goes a long way so will last a long time

CONS: Too much can make hair greasy, makes hair less shiny, can make hair crispy if using too much
